It has been almost thirty yeas sense we last had a fun adventure with Bill (Alex Winter) and Ted (Keanu Reeves) as their band "Wild Stallions" were destined to write a song that saves the universe. While a third installment was rumored for multiple years, I didn't fully believe it until there started to production photos released. This made a little nervous I love the original films and sometimes re-vamping isn't the best thing for a film.
However, I so thrilled to say this film was just a plain fun ride! The story picks up 30 years after we last left the duo and sadly they haven't written the song that unites the world (God knows we need one in 2020) and the Stallions time is running out! So B and T must time travel to find the versions of themselves that have written said song, and that brings them to the different versions of themselves that we see in the trailers. Their are several cameos and returns from the original films that brought event more joy to viewing experience. The "Babes" Joanna (Jayma Mays) and Elizabeth (Erinn Hayes) are in
the film for the just the right amount of time. William Sadler returns as Death in a really VH1 Behind The Music type segment that results in a classic Stallions jam session that will bring a smile to your face! Overall seeing the cast act together is just a fun time!
Lastly but certainly not least we see Bill and Ted's daughters Thea (Samara Weaving) and Kelly (Kristin Schaal) but a spin that is equally a homage to Bill and Ted and their own unique spin on their Preston / Logan characters.
Overall, if you are a fan of the original films, you are in for a great treat when you sit down and watch this one. This is film with a TON of re-watchability and the film leaves you with a wide smile that to be honest we can all use right now!
