If you were wondering what would take the spot of number one from a Disney+ show get ready to be shocked with the fact that it would be another Disney+ show. Ms Marvel has taken the top stream spot from Obi-Wan Kenobi and has kept Stranger Things from ever being number one this summer which is pretty shocking.
It's also worth noting that the boys have moved up in the rankings all the way to number three but have not been able to overtake Marvel or Stranger Things even with those shows concluding a little while ago.
Meanwhile, as Warner Bros. and DC continue to make questionable decision after another by canceling movies that are pretty much already done and have test screened, marvel and Disney continue to have success showcased by the fact that Doctor Strange was the top searched and stream the movie of July. I thought that the movie was pretty good especially for something that Sam Raimi directed and being a fan of his work only added to my enjoyment of the movie but I was surprised by how much it Rosa in the rankings this July with its release on Disney+.
Another pretty big surprise is to see minions perform as well as it has in the domestic box office in movie theaters in the month of July taking the top spot. I'm not so much surprised that it's number one I guess I'm more surprised that it's number one beating some of the movies that it did. I do find it interesting that the theme park community seems to be surprised and upset every time another Despicable Me attraction gets added to the park but I would suggest that they just need to look at these reports and understand that it's a money game to get why the Despicable Me train isn't stopping anytime soon.
