I haven't been able to fully binge a show in one or two sittings since Stranger Things 3. Really, shows like The Mandolarian or the Marvel shows on Disney + have made me appreciate having to wait each week for a new episode. That being said Servant has always had me waiting for Apple to release new episodes.
Season two takes off with where we left off in season one with Dorthy Sean and Julian trying to find exactly where Leanne has disappeared to with Jerchico. Dorthy played by Lauren Ambrose is a character whose performance really shines in the first half of the season as he see her continued mental state decline as she struggles with her reality. Toby Kebbell as Dorthy's husband Sean again puts in a solid performance as a husband who wants to do whatever he can to both fix the situation that season
one produced and hopefully with the help of Julian played by Rupert Grint save Dorthy's sanity (or what's left of it) in time. Rupert Grint really does steal the show this season showcasing just how far he has come since the Potter franchise.
Now comes that Shyamalan twist that comes with most of his projects. Upon the return of Leanne (Nell Tiger Free) We see that maybe all that Praying is actually because the group from Leanne's church are some kind of spiritual
Angle, Demon or in between. Uncle George comes back for about a third of the season and is exceptionally creepy. In the end, we see a cliffhanger of what sure feels like a final showdown between good and evil in season three and I can't wait to see where the show takes us for a third season.
The score and cinematography as well as what I'm sure was direction from the creative team was simply on point with accents that complement the show perfectly and I'm sure will leave you wanting more just like me.
