The Treehouse Starts Creepy but Falls Short.

The commercial for Treehouse is what made me decide that I would watch all of the Into The Dark films in order and then rank them. I love Jimmi Simpson in pretty much any role he has done. The setting and talk of VooDoo from the marketing seemed to depict a creepy world that had me super exciting.

However what we got instead was something entirely different. Simpson (Peter Rake) is a celebrity figure chef and has done very bad things to women in his past, like Hollywood stories cliche apparently. Now his sister thinks that his womanizing started when Peter was in high school and rapped a girl in the family treehouse. Fast forward a couple years and Peter has slept with another woman and then ditched her before his fame really took off. The first scene we get is this poor girl killing herself. So Peter is back at the family home (Mansion) and his sister puts this plan together that makes him believe he is the center of a witch's coven sacrifice that is lead by the younger sister of the lady who killed herself. There is some creepy imagery and the witches costumes look cool, however this movie takes a plot and location that could have been super

scary and made it out to be very meh. My excitement was high for this film, but now I'm thinking this one will end up close to the bottom.
